“Giving Bags”

Thank you everyone for rallying to get the supplies for the zip locks for the homeless. The children were a very efficient assembly line in filling the bags!
We included a flyer about the free Wednesday night dinners at the church and some of the children Drew pictures to put in the bags also…
We were able to finish 25 bags and put them in the church kitchen for tomorrow night’s dinner. We will make more tomorrow for everyone to pass out on their own.
We started a special project for the holidays and also read the book, The Mitten and had fun play acting it.

Wednesday

We decorated pretty stars…
We played with pretend snow and Everly was very proud of her Lego building.
Thank you Everett Owen for helping clean the big round table. and Below Everett and Kenadie worked together to put together our big long ladder we made to reach to our pretend Moon.
We started a project with the pretty paints you all brought in at the beginning of the year.

We played Santa Claus outside and at the end of the day read a cute story about the Tomten, a fabled elf like little man who comes around in the winter to protect the animals.

Hibernation

The children enjoyed exploring with the pattern blocks today.

We read a book about animals in the winter. Then we made Play-Doh and made winter homes for our plastic animals.

Thank you Julietta for erasing the blackboard. The children had lots of fun playing make-believe together today.

Cornbread

After exploring some corn we read If you give a Moose a Muffin and then made our own cornbread…

We had a little picnic upstairs while we waited for our cornbread to cook. While playing with the trains today we decided to make one of the cargo cars carry mail that we each made.We also enjoyed jumping in the pillows together and making familiar words with Miss Jill’s letter blocks!

Later we read a fun train book, busy day!
