The children worked together to remember how to sequence the story The House That Jack Built and below we got some new fun numbers to paint with!
We enjoyed using chalk together and we celebrated Everett’s 4th birthday!!
Thank you for sharing the donut holes with us, happy birthday Everett!🎂
After reading the familiar story the Three Bears we had fun play acting the story and taking turns being each of the characters. Later the children got into the dress up box and continued to play act the story on their own. We have some very good actors in our class!
We also play acted the story using my plastic bears. Everett Owen made beds for them with the cuisenaire rods.
We are all working on pumping on the swings… and the slide!
We enjoyed reading the familiar story of the Three Pigs. Afterwards we gathered at the big round table and made miniature versions of the houses the pigs built using seaweed for the straw pretzels for the steakhouse and cheese crackers for The Brickhouse. We used peanut butter to hold everything together and then re-enacted the story and then ate the houses. We had very creative construction ideas.
We did some beading this morning and Nash made a Wonderful House in the blocks.
I read a book about a little girl who saves special Treasures in a box. We then went on a walk around the block to look for our own Treasures.
When we came back from the walk the children got to paint their own treasure box to put their Little Treasures in.We drew a map of the streets that we walked along and wrote down the things we saw all along the way…
The kids enjoyed seeing who was here today with our attendance chart.Everyone stayed busy exploring parts of the room…
At meeting time we read the story of a duck who gets stuck in the mud and other animals try to help him. After reading the story we made Play-Doh and play acted the story using plastic animals.
The children played very nicely together today a great first day!
